The AC Adapter works great. Initially received wrong adapter but the supplier quickly replaced it at no cost to me.

I own an HP DV9000

I received my charger about two hours ago. I was a little apprehensive because of the previous reviews, but I have to say, mine is working without a problem.

Although it is obviously not the original replacement, this charger is doing a fantastic job; no erratic behavior from the laptop, right size for the connector, and the laptop is charging perfectly.

I’ll definitely be using this charger on a daily basis. If necessary, I’ll update this review.

The wiring came loose and shorted the unit. Osprey-Talon’s customer service was quick to respond. A few emails back and forth and they readily sent a replacement unit. It arrived today, a mere three days later.

After my original adapter died (because the standard HP ones are cheap too, not to mention overpriced) I picked up this one because it seemed to be a cheap and sturdy product. Not only is it not an official HP product as was advertised, but it conked out on me after a few months. While everything seems to be working right, it does not charge my laptop at all. While the computer recognizes that it is plugged in, there is no charge going into it. As another reviewer said, it doesn’t put out the same amount of voltage it is supposed to and therefore isn’t 100% compatible with the model it is advertised to be. I tested it on another computer of the same model so I know it is not an error with my computer specifically. I do not want to buy another one of these, but it appears to be the cheapest one and I do not want to pay much for a replacement, since all of these adapters are ridiculously overpriced.

I bought this in Sept. and it quit in Dec. you will be better off to go back and buy from HP.
